LA PALABRE: Das sind sechs Abende zu dekolonialer Theorie und Praxis in Berlin-Kreuzberg, in der Vierten Welt, die Diskussion und gemeinsames Essen verbinden. La Palabre nimmt Bezug auf die soziale Praxis des öffentlichen Diskurses und der Zusammenkunft in zahlreichen Ländern des afrikanischen Kontinents; der Ort ist meist ein Baobab Baum, der l’arbre a palabre.
LA PALABRE: These are six evenings of decolonial theory and practice in Berlin-Kreuzberg, at the Vierte Welt, combining discussion and shared food. La Palabre refers to the social practice of public discourse and gathering in numerous countries on the African continent; the location is usually a baobab tree, l’arbre a palabre.

Das Imaginäre als Ausgangspunkt für ein Neudenken der Realität. In Vorbereitung auf die Ausstellung “Ré-imaginer le passé” haben wir in einem LABoratoire drei Tage lang mit Denkern und Künstlern zum Thema des Imaginären gearbeitet.

Die Veranstaltung “Le Langage des Objects” im Musée Théodore Monod in Dakar bringt Künstler*innen und Experten*innen verschiedener Disziplinen zusammen, um über die Identitäten von Objekten und ihr inhärentes Wissen zu diskutieren.

TALKING OBJECTS – Decolonizing Memory and Knowledge. Eine Think Tank- und Ausstellungsreihe in Senegal, Kenia und Deutschland sowie ein digitales Archiv zur dekolonialen Wissensproduktion. Fünf Themenfelder stehen im Vordergrund: Erinnerung dekolonisieren, Wissen dekolonisieren, die Neubewertung von Objekten aus kolonialen Kontexten, Kraft durch und Chancen künstlerischer Perspektiven sowie Fragen an klassische museale Formen des Bewahrens und Präsentierens.
TALKING OBJECTS – Decolonizing Memory and Culture. A think tank and exhibition series in Senegal, Kenya and Germany and a digital archive for decolonial knowledge production. Die multimediale Installation im Stadtraum befasste sich mit den Auswirkungen von Sklaverei und Kolonialismus auf Ecuadors Gegenwart. Vier begehbaren Boxen auf dem Schlossplatz – dort wo heute das Humboldt Forum steht – erzählen von Afro-Ecuador.

The NSK State in Time is a collective (art)work with several thousand members around the world. In the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (House of World Cultures) in Berlin, they met for the first time to discuss the future and self-understanding of the “state”.

Ein Festival im Theater Hebbel am Ufer/HAU mit Theater, Performance, Kunst und Vorträgen aus dem jüngsten Land Europas.
