Wie leben wir in 25 Jahren? Hat die postfossile Epoche dann bereits begonnen und haben sich nachhaltige Lebensweisen durchgesetzt? Wie sehen die alternativen Modelle der Mobilität und Energieerzeugung aus? Mit diesen und weiteren Fragen löst das Kunstprojekt 800 Jahre Berlin Zukunftsvisionen aus dem rein wissenschaftlichen Kontext. Das Publikum ist ausgerüstet mit Smartphone und Routenplan und begibt sich zu Fuß zu, verschiedenen Stationen in Berlin Mitte. Die Orte der Gegenwart werden mit dem Hörspiel der Zukunft verknüpft, eine fiktive Geschichte legt sich über den realen Stadtraum und lässt die Zuschauer das Berlin des Jahres 2037 sinnlich erleben. A site-specific radio play in urban space takes the listener back to Berlin in 2037.
How will we live in 25 years? Has the post-fossil era already begun and have sustainable lifestyles prevailed? What are the alternative models of mobility and energy generation like? With these and other questions, the art project “800 Years of Berlin” will unlock visions of the future from a purely scientific context. The audience is equipped with a smartphone and a route plan and walks to various stations in Berlin Mitte. The places of the present are linked with the radio play of the future, a fictitious story is laid over the real urban space and allows the audience to experience Berlin of the year 2037 in a sensual way.
